For many years, Agribank has affirmed the “Vietnam strong brand name”

On April 14, 2018, Agribank was honored to receive the “Vietnam strong brand name award”. This prestigious title was co-organized by the Vietnam Economic Times and Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade).
Evaluated based on 7 criteria: business results, brand protection, quality of products and services, leadership capacity, human resources, corporate responsibility and commitment to environmental protection, Agribank’s top 10 “Vietnam strong brand name award” was once again acknowledged for its efforts in branding, confirming Agribank's key role in providing credit and investment capital, banking products and services for the economy, especially agriculture, farmers and rural areas.
 
Established on March 26, 1988, over 30 years of development, Agribank has grown steadily and continuously maintained high growth rate and business efficiency; Agribank has affirmed its role as an effective tool of the Party and State in serving agriculture and rural development, macroeconomic stability; Agribank has continuously expanded and affirmed its position and prestige in the international economic cooperation, being the leading bank in Vietnam in receiving and deploying foreign projects; The bank has made great strides in developing information technology and products and services; Agribank has actively worked for the community, launched many social security and charity programs, joined hands with the community to reduce poverty sustainably.

Agribank is the leading state-owned commercial bank in Vietnam and plays a key role in the development of agriculture, farmers and rural areas. As of December 31, 2017, Agribank posted a 20% profit growth, reaching a record level of VND 5,018 billion. Total assets of Agribank also exceeded VND 1 million billion, reaching VND 1.2 million billion, mobilized capital reached nearly VND 1.1 million billion; outstanding loans to the economy increased by 17.6% compared to 2016, reaching nearly VND 900 trillion, of which outstanding loans for agriculture and rural areas reached VND 650 trillion, accounting for 73.6% of total outstanding loans.

Pursuant to the Party's and State's policies and guidelines, Agribank has implemented 7 policy credit programs and 2 national target programs on new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction. Agribank is providing over 200 convenient banking products, actively contributing to the non-cash payment, enhancing access to banking services for the economy, especially in agriculture, rural areas, etc.

In the new stage of development, Agribank continues to closely follow the guidelines and policies of the Party, the Government and the executive solutions of the State Bank, focusing on the effective implementation of Business Strategy for the 2016-2020 period with a vision to 2030, successful implementation of phase 2 restructuring associated with the task of speeding up the implementation of Agribank's equitization plan under the Prime Minister's Decision; striving to fulfill all assigned tasks; maintaining the position and role of Agribank in the agricultural and rural finance market, contributing positively to the overall results of the banking sector, contributing to the country's socio-economic development.
