On November 14, 2011, at the University of Business and Technology, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank) signed the Cooperation Agreement with the Hanoi University of Business and Technology. Attendees on the signing ceremony including: Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Bao – Chairman of Agribank, Mr.Kieu Trong Tuyen – Deputy General Director in charge of Agribank, Vice Director - Deputy Chairman of Directives Board of Hanoi University of Business and Technology, Dr. Do Que Luong - Vice Director of Hanoi University Business and Technology; Dr Tran Cong Bay ...

According to the Agreement, Agribank annually accepts the students to further study at Agribank branches, providing the scholarships for excellent students; tutoring the student’s thesis and also proving the state- of- the -art banking products & services for the students’ needs. In co-operation with Agribank, Hanoi University of Business and Technology will have the chance to bridging the gap between theory and practice, that’s the best way to make a quality "human outcome" for society, and it is also considered opportunities for the University to apply the-state-of the –art banking products & services in studying.

On his speech at the Signing Ceremony, Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Bao said that Agribank as a major financial institution and carrying out the political tasks assigned by the Government of Vietnam, in the context of restructuring the banking system and financial institutions led by the Party and State, Agribank is developing and implementing the project on bank restructuring towards a modern banking. However, Agribank highly appreciate the training, fostering and developing human resources. Based on the potentials and strengths of both sides Agribank and Hanoi University of Business and Technology will have gain more occasions to work together, promoting the image, brand name , being sustainable development in the integration period. Periodically the beginning of academic year (September, October) starting from year 2011 to 2012, Agribank set up a scholarship fund for excellent students, and the poor student but good at study, will be awarded...Fund utilization will be reported by University to Agribank.

Right after the Agreement signed, the Hanoi University of Business and Technology has held a Agribank Scholarship Award Ceremony for 50 excellent students and also unprivileged students

Deputy Director of Hanoi University of Business and Technology, Dr. Do Que Luong strongly confirmed that Agribank Scholarship Fund will be used for proper purposes, given the right objects to create more motivation to students in training.
