Inward and outward remittances via Western Union

Agribank is the official dealer and has the largest remittance network of Western Union in Vietnam. Currently, Agribank provides outward money transfer service and payment services at branches and transaction offices of Agribank. This is a method for fast, safe and convenient money transfer.


Benefit

 

-          Customers receive money without opening bank accounts.

-          Customers can get cash at the nearest Agribank branches/transaction offices within minutes.

-          Money transfers directly, not through intermediary banks, thus avoiding intermediary fees.

-          Customers will receive payment in U.S. dollars or VND depending on customer’s choice.

-          Customers get money without paying any extra fees.


Method of remittance from abroad to Vietnam

-          Step 1: Customers go to the nearest Western Union agents and fill out "Money Transfer Order" form.

-          Step 2: Submit the completed “Money Transfer Order” to Western Union agent together with the money to be transfer and pay all related fees.

-          Step 3: Staff of agent to key data in the system of Western Union

-          Step 4: Staff of agent issues receipt and transfer code which has 10 digits.

-          Step 5: Customers need to notify the recipient of the information needed and the transfer code. Upon receiving money at the nearest Western Union agents, the recipient needs to present papers showing identity.

 

Receiving money in Vietnam

 

-          Step 1: Customers receiving money go to the nearest Agribank branch or transaction office and provide the following information:

+    Full name of the sender (name, surname, middle names);

+    Location the money was sent from;

+    Amount;

+    Ten digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN);

+    Identification with photo issued by the competent bodies (ID card or proof of military

      officers or passports which are still valid).

-          Step 2: Complete the “Receive Money” form

-          Step 3: Customers review the information and sign the completed form to receive money: the beneficiary will receive a receipt.

-          Step 4: Customers receiving money
