The "For a Green Future" race is a sports activity organized by Agribank, aiming to encourage Agribank's employees, customers and partners to actively respond to the campaign "All people exercise following Uncle Ho's example". The running race is one of the meaningful highlights in the series of activities and events to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Agribank's establishment (March 26, 1988 - March 26, 2023), the 72nd anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam's banking industry.

With the message "For a green future" and the idea of choosing 21 days as the ideal duration to form a habit, Agribank's "For a green future" race is held in an online format. This is an activity that contributes to boosting the cohesion and fostering solidarity among employees in the whole industry; also spreads to partners and customers aboud the pride in the establishment and development of Agribank in the past 35 years.

Not just a race to win the championship, the "For a Green Future" race also has the meaning of spreading a green, environmentally friendly lifestyle to the community. For each kilometer that participants complete, Agribank will deduct VND 10,000 and put into the social security program “For a green future”.

It is expected that Agribank will spend VND 35 billion in the social security budget in 2023 to implement activities to support people in difficult circumstances, build houses of gratitude, houses of great solidarity, support children access education; donate bookcases, learning equipment to schools in rural and remote areas; and plant 1 million trees to contribute to environmental protection, etc.

The “For a Green Future” race is held online, using the Agribank Sports app linked to the Strava app. Agribank Sports is Agribank's own application with the goal of connecting the community of people who share the same passion for running, spreading the spirit of sharing in the community; encouraging sportsmanship, improving the health of the community in general and Agribank's staff in particular. Everyone can register to participate as an individual or as a team/group and are free to do outdoor walking/running at any time and place they want.

During 35 years of development, Agribank has always been consistent with the journey of realizing values for the community. In 2020, Agribank is the pioneer bank to implement the program "For a green future" to plant 1 million trees, contributing to greening bare land and hills, planting trees to prevent floods, and protect the environment. The program is maintained annually and receives the good response and participation of a large number of staff and communities across the country.

Every year, Agribank spends hundreds of billions of dong on social security activities, for the community. In 2022, in the context of many difficulties and challenges for the country's economy in general as well as for each family in particular in the post-Covid-19 period, Agribank spent more than VND 600 billion on care, support for the poor and the disadvantaged.

Continuing the benevolent values that Agribank has developed and maintained during the journey of more than one third of a century, Agribank hopes that the "For a Green Future" race will connect millions of hearts on the journey of charity, act as a bridge to join hands with the community to light up faith about a bright future for the less fortunate.
